We have joined forces with Create Arts to bring the Count the Beats initiative to local primary schools. Professional musicians teach the children to explore the link between maths and music and how this relates to common mathematical questions they face such as percentages, fractions and numerical patterns.
Workshops encourage children to write their own piece of music which is then performed on the final day to the entire school. Funded through the Citi Foundation we are currently working with Create Arts in Derby, London and Manchester.
