We've launched the 'football skills challenge'. As part of this, Derby County Football Club's 'Football in the Community' coaches and Egg coaches go into local Derby schools and deliver football skills training to the pupils. At the end of a six week program, all the students are assessed and get a certificate showing which level they achieved.
When we announced our partnership with Derby County Football Club we gave our people the chance to take the Level 1 FA Coaching Certificate. To date over 40 of our people have taken their training to become football coaches. When they completed their training they were able to use the qualification to coach young people keen to develop their own football skills. The partnership between Egg and Derby County FC has already been successful in delivering the 'football skills challenge' to over 10,000 local school children.
