About our insurance services

1. We are Egg Financial Intermediation Limited and our address is Pride Park, Derby DE99 3GG. Egg Financial Intermediation Limited (reg. no. 3828289) is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Egg Financial Intermediation Limited is entered in the Financial Services Authority (FSA) register under number 309551. Egg Financial Intermediation Limited is registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Citigroup Centre, Canada Square, London E14 5LB.

2. Egg Financial Intermediation Limited is permitted to arrange and offer for sale general insurance. You can check this on the FSA's Register by visiting the FSA's website www.fsa.gov.uk/register or by contacting the FSA on 0845 606 1234. The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.

3. Egg Financial Intermediation Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Egg Banking plc, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Citigroup Inc.

4. We can only offer life and critical illness insurance from one insurer:-

The Prudential Assurance Company Limited

You can at any time ask us for a list of insurers we offer insurance from.

5. You will not receive advice or a recommendation from us for life and critical illness insurance. We may ask some questions to narrow down the selection of products that we will provide details on. You will then need to make your own choice about how to proceed.

You will not have to pay a fee for our services.

Please note that this will not be a secure e-mail and you should not disclose any account specific information such as account numbers or passwords.

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

7. We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.

Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.
