The Egg Fixed Rate Bond (July 2009) (the "Bond") is only available to Egg Savings Account customers whose applications and cleared deposits are received by 29 September 2009. The Bond is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We reserve the right to refuse any application to open a Bond. The Bond is for a three year term. All deposits received for the Bond will be first deposited in the applicant's Egg Savings Account (excluding Egg Cash ISA accounts) and subject to us having accepted your application the funds will then be deposited into the Bond from 1 July 2009. The Bond is provided by Egg Banking plc. The minimum deposit is £1,000 and the maximum is £2,000,000. Withdrawal and early closure restrictions apply. Please refer to the special conditions. The gross rate is the contractual rate before deduction of tax at the rate specified by law. AER means the Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. As every advertisement for a savings product which quotes an interest rate will contain an AER, you will be able to compare more easily what return you can expect from your savings over time. Interest will be paid on maturity of the Bond. Calls to Egg may be monitored and/or recorded. Egg Banking plc is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Payments under the Scheme are limited to 100% of the first £50,000 of a depositor's total deposits with Egg Banking plc. Details of the scheme are available from www.fscs.org.uk. Egg Banking plc is registered in England and Wales. Registered number: 2999842. Registered office: Citigroup Centre, Canada Square, London E14 5LB. Egg Banking plc is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
