With some cards you get a brilliant introductory rate, but when that's worn off, it can all look a lot less attractive. But here at Egg we like a bit of commitment - which is why we keep updating our Egg Card benefits for existing customers.
Anniversary offer A great reason to get an Egg Card, and a great reason to stay if you already have one, is our guaranteed anniversary offer. Both new and existing customers get the same two year offer.
In the anniversary month of the month your account was first opened:
- For applications made after 1 January 2008, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month in 2010 and 2011.
- For applications made between 1 April 2007 and 31 December 2007, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month in 2009 and 2010.
- For applications made between 1 January 2007 and 31 March 2007, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary every year until 2009.
- For applications made 1 January 2006 and 31 December 2006, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month every year until 2008.
- For applications made 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2005, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month every year until 2007.
There is a handling fee of 2.5% of the amount of each balance transfer made under the anniversary offer.
Introductory or promotional rates are subject to you making your required monthly payments on time and keeping within your credit limit. If you fail to do so, we may charge the standard variable annual rate for the relevant transactions instead of the introductory or promotional rate.
