We're making some changes to Egg Money and your agreement, and here are some more details about the new benefits, changes and how you can withdraw any positive balances you might have.

New insurances as standard Protect the things you buy with our new insurance products, effective from 15 May 2009. All policies have zero excess.

Price promise
- Buy an item with your Egg Money card costing more than £50 anywhere in the world and if you find it cheaper within 30 days, we'll refund the difference.
- You can claim up to £375 per item and up to four items per year.
- Internet purchases are not covered.

Extended warranty
- Get 12 months' additional warranty for any electrical item costing more than £50 bought with your Egg Money card once the manufacturer's warranty expires.
- You can claim up to £1,500 per item and claim for up to five items per year.

Purchase protection
- Covers items costing more than £75 bought with your Egg Money card anywhere in the world against theft, loss, or damage, for 90 days after the date of purchase.
- There's a £3,000 limit per item and up to £6,000 per claim to a total limit of £15,000 per cardholder per year.

Event cover
- Covers event tickets over £20 booked using your Egg Money card if you are unable to attend.
- Maximum four claims per year.
- Unlimited events per year covered, anywhere in the world.

Dealing with your positive balance Whatever the amount, you can access it easily.

Withdraw it
You can use our cash withdrawal facility - subject to a daily limit of £500. After 15 May 2009, all withdrawals will incur a fee of 3%, minimum £3.

Use it
One of the easiest ways is to spend the positive balance by simply using your card. That way you’ll also benefit from the 1% cash back and after 15 May 2009, the reassurance provided by the new range of insurances included as standard.

Transfer it
- If you've got a positive balance of £100 or more you can transfer it to your current account. You can do this by logging in to 'your accounts' and selecting your Egg Money account. From there, select 'Egg Money admin' followed by 'Transfer a balance' from the list of options. Then select 'Current account/overdraft' and provide the bank account details into which you wish to transfer the balance. No balance transfer fees will be incurred.
- Positive balances of less than £100 can't be transferred online. To arrange a transfer please send us a secure message which includes the sort code and account number of where you want the funds sending along with details of the amount you want to transfer.

Changes to the Direct Debit collection process From 15 May 2009 your Direct Debit will only collect when you owe money on your account and will not take payments from your account if you have a positive balance.
More about cash advance fees From 15 May 2009 cash withdrawal fees will apply even if the account is in credit. 3% for cash advances (minimum £3).
…but some things stay the same
Instant cash back and discounts with Egg Rewards Not only will you still get a really competitive 1% cash back on everything you buy, but you'll also benefit from cash back and discounts with Egg Rewards. Get 5% at lastminute.com and 20% at buyagift.com, amongst many others.
Egg Money cash back is paid once a year as long as your cash back total is more than £5, subject to a maximum payment of £200. With Egg Rewards there is no limit to the amount of instant cash back you can earn.
