Egg Money

Egg Money is a credit card and is issued subject to status by Egg Banking plc. When you borrow, 7.9% APR variable is our typical APR but depending on your personal circumstances you may receive a rate of 16.9% APR variable. Repayments of amounts borrowed are monthly, with a minimum payment of the full outstanding balance if it is less than £5, but otherwise the greater of (1) £5 or (2) 2% of the Revolving Balance or (3) interest plus repayment protection premium; plus for Transferred Balances made during any promotional periods the greater of (1) £5 or (2) 2% of the Transferred Balance. Other charges are £2 for paper statements and payments made by cheque. A variable amount will be charged for other non-standard services provided. We offer credit limits from £500. Maximum credit limit subject to status.
When you have a positive balance you will earn interest at the rate of 4% gross pa/ AER variable. The gross rate is the contractual rate before deduction of tax at the rate specified by law. AER is the Annual Equivalent Rate (contractual rate when paid and compounded each year). Interest on positive balances is paid daily and shown in your account on your monthly statement date. Instant access to money via ATMs - Egg charges no fees for cash withdrawals but some ATM providers may charge a fee. Withdrawals can also be made to a nominated bank account held by you or an additional cardholder via BACS within up to four business days. No interest charged for withdrawals whilst account has positive balance.
Rates subject to variation and correct as at 1 December 2006.
At least 1% cash back is paid on all purchases. Cash back is paid on purchases up to a maximum of £200 of cash back in each 12 month statement period commencing with the March statement each year up to and including the February statement the following year. Where an instant cash back applies, 1% cash back on the purchase will be paid as above in March 2007 and the remaining 1%, plus the instant cash back set out in the offer, will be paid into your Egg Money account at the same time as the purchase is put on the account, or shortly after. Egg Loans
There is a two stage application process for Egg Loans. First, we will quote you a personalised rate for the loan you are considering applying for. The search that we do to enable us to decide on your rate for that loan will not be taken into account by lenders when making credit decisions. If you then decide to apply for that loan, we will carry out a full credit assessment including searches which may be taken into account by lenders when making credit decisions. If your application is successful, the quoted rate will apply. As this rate is specific to the loan you applied for, different rates may apply to loans for different amounts or periods.
